How can I find out whether a special request can be accommodated?
Ask whether the request concerns the whole purchase or only one component. Ask how later changes would affect the accepted specification.
What should I check before asking someone else to manage my order?
Distinguish asking for information from authorizing a change to the purchase. Keep a record of the scope you authorized.
What should I review when checkout fills in my details automatically?
Check which person's name appears in the relevant fields. Look for information retained from a different earlier purchase.
